「도살풀이춤」에 내재된 무속굿의 기・예능적 요소 고찰+
DOI:https://doi.org/10.26861/sddh.2024.73.165Asian Dance Journal
Vol.73
pp.165-181
This study aims to identify and analyze the structural elements of the Dosalpuri dance by exploring its intersections with the spiritual and artistic aspects of traditional shamanistic rituals, thereby enhancing the understanding of the foundational framework and value of traditional dance. To this end, the research investigated the value and characteristics of the dance based on literature and video materials, examining the embedded spiritual and artistic elements of shamanistic rituals through themes, costumes and props, rhythm, and dance movements. The theme of dosalpuri encompasses the psychological and religious significance of invoking and treating spirits well to obtain blessings, encapsulating the archetypal form of shamanistic rites through play and resolution. The white costume, resonating with grief and secrecy, symbolizes the prevention of misfortune, and the 3-meter-long white scarf is interpreted as the pathway from the divine time to human time. The rhythm retains the traditional patterns used in the Gyeonggi Dodang-gut [Gyeonggi Province shamanic ritual]. The dance movements include daruchigi, mokjeotnoreum, and yongsawi, adhering to the formats of inviting, entertaining, and sending off spirits.

Effects of Square Step Program in Relation to Developments of Cognitive Abilities and Life Quality of the Elderly
고령자의 인지능력발달과 삶의 질 향상을 위한 스퀘어 스텝 프로그램의 효과
DOI:10.26861/sddh.2014.35.149Asian Dance Journal
Vol.35
pp.149-167
This research aimed at verifying the effect of square step program for the elderly's cognitive ability development. As the research object, total 80 were assigned, i.e. 40 of experimental group and 40 of control group from an institute in N-dong, Gyeonggi area, who has no cognitive impairment such as dementia and physically healthy. For the experimental group, total 24 sessions of square step program were implemented twice a week during 3 months, and as the result of inspecting cognitive function(MMSE-K) and the elderly's quality of life(GQOL) criterion before and after the implementation of program, following results were deduced. First, as the result of verifying difference change between before and after MMSE-K square step program implementation, experimental group appeared to have statistically meaningful difference compared to comparative group(p<.01). Also, in the situation when cognitive function preliminary mark was set as covariance, sum of MMSE-K, space orientation, attention concentration and calculation, memory retrieval, language function, understanding and judgment appeared to have statistically meaningful difference(p<.01). Second, as the result of verifying difference change between before and after the elderly's quality of life(GQOL) square step program implementation, among sub factors of the elderly's quality of life, experimental group appeared to have statistically meaningful difference in social relationship, physical health, environment, psychological inconvenience, physical stability(p<.01). Also, in the situation when the preliminary mark of each sub factor of the elderly's quality of life as covariance, whole sub factor social relationship, physical health, environment, psychological inconvenience, physical safety, mental and physical stability appeared to have statistically meaningful difference(p<.01). In conclusion, it was verified that after participating in square step program, the elderly's cognitive function and quality of life were improved.

Developing and Verifying a Wholeness Program for Prevent the Degeneration of Cognitive Function and to Maintain Residual Physical Function of the Elderly with Dementia
치매노인의 인지기능 퇴행방지와 잔존신체기능 유지를 위한 홀니스프로그램 개발 및 효과 검증
DOI:https://doi.org/10.26861/sddh.2021.61.123Asian Dance Journal
Vol.61
pp.123-148
This study developed a Wholeness program and verified its effectiveness at preventing cognitive degeneration and maintain residual body function of the elderly with dementia. The subjects of this study were A1 Elderly Welfare Center Day Care Center, the 20 elderly with dementia as an experimental group, and A2 Elderly Welfare Center Day Care Facility, the 20 dementia elderly as an control group. A Wholeness program was conducted once a week for a total of 30 weeks for 60 minutes. As a result, in the experimental group, except for cognitive function (LOTCA-G), K-MMSE (Korean version of Mini-mental state examination), cognitive impairment (GDS), functional fitness (SFT & BBS), and daily living ability (K-ADL), there was a significant difference in all of them, and there was a significant difference in the comparison of the correspondence of the experimental group, confirming that the Wholeness program was an integrated cognitive and physical health program for the elderly with dementia. This result confirmed that the Wholeness program was an integrated cognitive and physical health program for the elderly with dementia. It is expected that the results of previous studies that were lacking in timeliness and academic context will be supplemented.

The Effect of Learning Sogo Dance on the Brain Functions of Elderly Women:
소고춤 참여가 여성 노인의 뇌 기능에 미치는 영향: 뇌파측정 방법을 중심으로
DOI:https://doi.org/10.26861/sddh.2021.60.173Asian Dance Journal
Vol.60
pp.173-192
This study sought to identify the effects of Sogo dance learning on brain function in elderly women. To this end, the subjects of the study consisted of 15 experimental groups participating in the practice and 15 non-participating control groups, with the practice period of 60 minutes twice a week for 12 weeks. Each group measured brain functional analysis with Electroencephalogram(EEG) before and after the experiment, and two-way ANOVA was conducted to determine the difference between group (small dance, control group) and period (pre-post) using SPSS 25.0 (IBM, USA). All statistical significance levels were p<.The following conclusions were obtained as a result of setting it to 05. First, the brain function index, which varied between the groups, showed significant changes in five brain function indices: basic rate coefficient (left brain, right brain), attention index (left brain, right brain), active index (left brain, right brain). Second, the brain function index, which differed over time showed significant differences in total of five brain function indices: self-regulation index, basic rhythm index (left brain), attention index (right brain), emotional index, and brain index. These findings could scientifically prove the unique characteristics and intrinsic value of Korean dance through the utilization value of Sogo Dance, and it is hoped that brain science-based dance research will take place in many ways
